I realised that I’ve actually made a few guitars by now, and this deserved a new page on the main menu of this website. I’ve therefore made a gallery page with a photograph of each of the guitars that I have made, and links to all of the related pages.
This new page can be found under “Build Gallery” in the main menu at the top of this page. I will update it as I start or finish each guitar.
I’ve been very busily working on guitars both at home and on a third course at Crimson Guitars in March 2018. I didn’t update this site for a while, but today I’ve caught up and posted pages for three guitars that I have completed this year!
First was the Padauk Strat, which was the first guitar I finished on my own.
Having recently finished both the baritone and the hybrid tele – although I still need to update this site with the final pictures of both of those guitars – I needed a break from guitar-building. Unfortunately, though, inspiration struck for a slightly crazy new build, and I couldn’t prevent myself from leaping straight into it!
The plan is to build a hollow bodied 12-string guitar, with a rather distinctive design. It’s a bit crazy and it will be a lot of work, probably sending me mad in the process, but I’m gambling that nobody will tell the difference.
The first two pages of this build have been posted, together with an index page where you can also find links to a series of YouTube videos that I’m making about this build. As I also have a proper day job, this will probably take me a few months to complete, so come back and see how I get on with it!
