That Pedal Show

One of the best YouTube guitar channels is That Pedal Show, which features two guys with a huge amount of experience and knowledge.  Daniel Steinhardt is the brains behind TheGigRig, a company that produces high-end pedalboard switching and power gear, and Mick Taylor is the former editor-in-chief of Guitarist magazine.

‘That Pedal Show’ is where Dan and Mick publish weekly videos discussing and demonstrating all sorts of pedal-related paraphernalia and effects, sometimes with guest stars too.  Dan regularly builds pedalboards with big names in the guitar world and so they sometimes make rig rundown videos too.

I just finished watching this week’s offering (they always publish their videos on Friday) and it was a very helpful look at Better Solo Tones For Everyone.   Their channel is well worth plumbing for all sorts of in-depth gear-related information (and before that channel, they used to post on Daniel’s TheGigRig channel, so check that out too).

I grew up in England, attending school in Gloucester and then reading Classics at Peterhouse, Cambridge University. After working in London for three years, I moved to Belgium in 1993 where I have lived ever since. I played the piano as a child and also started playing the guitar, but never took it seriously until 2012, thanks to Rocksmith. I've also done a lot of singing, including over 30 amateur shows. Since 2012 I have been avidly accumulating guitar-related information as well as guitars and related gear, and I decided to create this site to share some of my knowledge, experiences and opinions with anybody who might be interested.
